Hand Painted Mailboxes by Paula's Cottage Charm

Hello, my name is Paula Chinowith and I am a self taught painter.

I began painting after watching and admiring my friend Susie's
painting skills. I was in awe of how she could turn something so
plain into a real work of art. So I decided I too would try my hand
at painting. I hoped that decorative painting would at least be a
fantastic hobby or a great stress reliever or both. So I purchased a
few painting books and began my journey. Now after many hours
of practicing, and it sure wasn't as easy as she made it look, I find
myself six years later totally consumed! It is no longer just a hobby
but a business and one that I enjoy immensely.

I still to this day paint on just about every surface that I can get my
hands on! Some of the items I offer on my website are new, some
are trash to treasure finds. What I enjoy most, I think, is giving a
new life to something that's been discarded and turning that unique
find into a beautiful one of a kind hand painted home accent.

Prior to 2005, which is when I began my website business, I painted
primarily for clients, friends and for local craft shows in our area.
Thanks to the Internet, I'm now able to sell my products through out
the United States.
